Your Photo Questions Answered

No location sounds too crazy for me, Show me what ya got!

No. Sorry I am no longer doing extended family sessions. Only immediate family members. 

Normally 1-2 weeks in the off season. 3-4 weeks in my peak season (fall). My contract does state 2-4 weeks, but If you need your photos sooner or by a certain date, Please include that date and I will do my best to accommodate it. I no longer do sneak peeks, it takes longer for me to return full galleries, and I would much rather deliver your full gallery on time

The answer is yes and no. Depends on what you have in mind. I do a more lifestyle family session. With natural photos of your baby. I do NOT  like and will not take overly posed baby photos with crazy props. I do not like these photos.

The answer is yes and no. Depends on what you have in mind. I do portrait sessions. I do not do the elaborate 6 locations, 20 dress changes.

Yes and no. I do not do the classical team photos anymore. I will do lifestyle, action shots, candids of sports team or an individual athlete. 

Normally No. If I do, I will probably plan a mini session date.( I have 3 kids who do travel sports so I usually travel on the weekends.)

We will reschedule. I swear weather forecasts here in Huntsville, are 50% of the time wrong. I do like to wait to the day of to see how the weather actually is before canceling, but definitely before you get ready for your session.

Well my first answer to this question Is, For the love of all, do not yell or spank your kids! 

There are many steps to take to prevent this. Make sure they have a full tummy, they are in a good mood, compliment your child. I fully support bribes. In fact I suggest giving them something before the session and a prize after.  If your child is wild, GREAT! Honestly if they are happy and playing, that is absolutely perfect. I would MUCH rather have a wild child dancing and running than one perfectly behaving child constantly posing and smiling. 

Please parents, if there is one piece of advice I can give, do not scold your child if they aren't doing "their good smile". Telling them they aren't smiling nice and asking them to do their good smile, NEVER WORKS. It just makes the child feel insecure. If I am taking your child's photo and you notice they are not doing their "real smile", just walk away. Yes I can also tell that is a forced smile . I am just shooting through it so I don't make them feel uncomfortable. I will chat with them about something they like to get them to forget we are doing photos. This is one of the reasons why I send out a questionnaire. 

If we are doing studio sessions, I like to book these from a start time of 10am-2pm. My outdoor sessions/ sunset sessions, I will book an hour- an hour and a half before sunset, depending on location. Downtown family photos, 2 hours before sunset. 

After we chat and a date, time, and location is chosen, I will send you out a Questionnaire to fill out. You will receive a "Thank you for booking email" in it you will confirm the date, time, and location of our session. That email will be jam-packed with all our session's info. Along with a styling guide. Once you have confirmed, a session contract will pop up for you to sign, and last a session deposit of $100 is due upon booking. The remaining balance is due by the date of photos. 

 I only book  mini sessions that I have listed under my mini-sessions page. The only exception to this would be if you had a super unique idea for a session! I'm always up for something different and fun!
